New York Marathon 2011

(Deutsche Version) I decided to run my first marathon at the New York Marathon and I was able to finish in 4:19:22! While I originally planned to only visit the Pubcon Conference in Las Vegas the New York Marathon is the highlight of my trip!

The $5k+ Fundraiser!

As I decided to participate too spontaneously to join the 141.903(!) participants in the lottery, I chose to do a fundraiser for the  African Leadership Foundation who’s funding the African Leadership Academy near Johannesburg (South Africa). This charity was explicitly recommended to me by a friend who works in a NGO in Cape Town, so I was certain to support the right thing. Your donations and support were much appreciated and I continue to ask you for donations for this worthy cause!
